On Dec 13, the Board of Supervisors proclaimed January 2023 to be Disrupting the School-to-Prison Pipeline Month. Supervisor Susan Ellenberg led this effort and the proclamation language is based on a proclamation developed by FLY’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC). Estefani Herrera and Aydeth Rameriz, YAC members and co-chairs of JCAAN were present to speak to the proclamation.
