Dr. Amna Khan

Dr. Amna Khan is an outpatient pediatrician at Santa Clara Valley Health (SCVH) and a Clinical Associate Professor (affiliated) at Stanford University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. At California's second largest public safety net hospital system, she cares for children and families from diverse backgrounds who face significant barriers to health and wellbeing. Dr. Khan has devoted her career to understanding and dismantling the health inequities that affect vulnerable families—inequities that can echo across generations.  Beyond her direct patient care, Dr. Khan co-leads Pedi P.O.W.E.R. (Pediatricians Working and Organizing to End Racism), a health equity working group committed to confronting systemic racism in medicine. Over the past five years, the group has created innovative approaches that address the root causes of inequality, working to build a healthcare system that truly serves all children and families.

"Amna believes that Kids in Common is a vital organization transforming systems that require cross-sector collaboration and data-driven advocacy to ensure that every child in Santa Clara County has the foundation to be healthy, safe, and thriving—from cradle to career."
